You can mark the start and end positions, in a video's timeline, without any effort. It should also be mentioned that LosslessCut works with various video formats. By default, the application will export the trimmed video in its own folder, but you can set a different one in no time.

Once your video is loaded, you only need to mark the start and end times in its timeline, with different options. You can load a video file through a standard browsing option or by dragging and dropping it over the player. LosslessCut's user interface looks and feels like a simple video player. People were complaining that it's hard to download/install the unsigned exe file, as they need to go through these dialogs saying that this file is a threat to your computer, and anti-virus complaining about executables. The hardware requirements are modest and you don't need to install any supplementary tools or services. I initially only released LosslessCut as a direct download from GitHub, as an unsigned/untrusted exe/binary file download. Its components are distributed in a ZIP archive, so you only need to extract them and run an executable.
